Introduction: A little about me: I used to run a rescue specifically for pit bulls, and I currently run a rescue out of my second home for small and exotic animals. I'm pursuing my doctorate in veterinary medicine with 2 years of schooling in veterinary technology as well as over 20 years of real world experience working with all types of animals.
I have no problem with special needs animals of any kind or handling things like medication administration, nail trims, bathing and minor grooming needs, giving shots and subcutaneous or intramuscular injections, special dietary or exercise requirements, or any other accommodations that your pet(s) may need to be happy and comfortable during their stay.
Your pet's stay will be catered to their own individual needs and will include (when applicable and appropriate) LOTS of love, playtime, access to several HUGE bins of toys, outdoor time on leash as well as free reign of a large fenced yard, socialization, snuggles, treats and praise, scheduled feeding times to match your routine at home, baths/nail trims/minor grooming where needed, and anything else to make sure that your pet is happy, healthy, safe, and feels like they have found their second home!

I've know Emery for almost 20 years. She has always loved animals and her experience with and knowledge of all breeds and species animals is vast and in-depth. She is excellent at setting and following routines for every pet and rescue animal under her care. During the many years I've known her she has had hundreds of animals pass through her doors, each with it's own needs, personality and behaviors. She tailors the activities of the each day to give each one personal one on one attention, playtime, calm time, feeding and at minimum minor grooming along with meeting any other need they may have. She is very attentive to the aged, infirm or injured to ensure the quality of their stay. She treats each animal brought to her home with kindness and dignity, as though they were her own. Emery is well aware of the responsibility she takes for your critters and goes above and beyond to ensure their safety and communicate with each animals human companion regularly, especially if any issues arise, fully respecting your right to know. All you need to do is trust in her extensive knowledge, compassion, experience, and deep love for animals and your pet will be better than ok... They will be in for the stay of their lives!!

Emery is great! She is always extremely flexible with my crazy schedule and willing to go way above and beyond to be helpful in a variety of ways. I always get lots of pictures and updates and she is so knowledgeable about animals that it just blows me away sometimes! My pets don't always behave the best, but she is so patient with them. She sends us home with really nice care packages for my furbabies, which is super sweet. All around excellent service and experience! Highly recommended!
