- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began my musical career learning piano in preschool. My mother was a piano teacher and she taught me how to read music and develop a love for all things music. I knew I wanted to play the flute at age 10. I taught myself how to play and joined the band in elementary school. I advanced through the next several years under the instruction of private teachers and was accepted into The Juilliard School as a pre-college division student while in High School. I went on to earn a Master's degree from Northern Arizona University in Music Performance. While at NAU, I enrolled in Music Eduction courses and learned how to play all band and orchestral instruments. I began taking on students and have enjoyed the work ever since.
