FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is based on time it takes to complete a service, amount of products used if any (color, styling products, pins, lightener, etc., and if travel is expected, that also affects pricing. Length and density of hair are always key factors in pricing as well.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I briefly taught cosmetology to students in a classroom setting. I quickly realized I'd rather be behind the chair than behind a desk.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
One of my best friends is a professional photographer. I'd go on shoots with her doing hair and or makeup. It gave me a new appreciation for my work and showed me I was capable of working on set, on location, etc., Not everything needs to happen in a salon and it really allows me as an artist to get creative with my clients based on their event and expectations!
