Hardy Homes recently replaced my roof. They were extremely professional from beginning to end. They showed up on time and their workers were very respectful of our home and property. They even showed up the next day to ensure we were happy with the job that was done. I would wholeheartedly recommend them and will use them for future projects.

Avoid this company. Had estimates from 3 companies (2 from thumbtack, one local) went with hardy homes because of their price, and a vet...trusted they were honest in their discussions with me. Contracted for gutters and downspout system, repair and replace. Estimate verified/confirmed 4 times with them before paying deposit. Then the bait and switch, their invoice came in and price was double! Contacted them via thumbtack messenger, they indicated no correction, and have not had contact with them since, despite trying. Even went to thumbtack for arbitration, and they ignored them as well. I will be paying what was contracted for and no more...filing complaint with state contractor board, BBB, and posting on several military sites (Ie., Quantico, Pentagon, AP Hill) as a company to avoid! The work was good, but they are slow to schedule, bad at communicating, and simply unprofessional/untrustworthy in their billing practices. Their estimated cost for the system (linear feet) was right in line with the other estimates received...their contract was for R&R of Gutter and Downspout System, but they billed for downspouts twice...which made them the highest price in area, and doubled the end price billed. All despite their “guarantees” that their estimate was good, and a contract that stated the same. As a registered Architect, I can tell you this happens way too often, and is completely illegal and dishonest. And they simply disappear, and do not return phone calls or messages...even to the thumbtack customer service. Avoid this company.

This person is an absolute Con-Man! He asked us for the price of gutter for 161 linear foot because he is an engineer and he knows what it needs. I gave him the price based on 161' and we discussed it to great lengths that "BASED on 161' the price would be $1450, anything over would be $9 per lft. His project was 272 lft not 161 as he stated it was. That is why I put it in the contract that anything over would be additional. That was completely his error and not ours. We are very honest and will always go above to satisfy a customer but this is FRAUD!
