- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All pricing is competitive with other professionals working at the same level, in this area. Upon successful completion of the first project, all future projects will be eligible for a minimum discount of 10% and, maybe more, depending upon the project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free, 1-hour, professional consultation. For certain projects, such as complete bathroom remodeling ("rip & replace") and basement de-watering, I can provide a quote, on the spot. For all others, there will be a 1-week turn-around for all projects that, are straight-forward and, do not require the input of an engineer or, architect. For Kitchen re-designs or, other large, custom projects, there will be a design fee of $500.00 which, is non-refundable but, will be applied to the cost of the project, if Taracon Construction is selected, to perform the work. All drawings and specs will then become the Client's property, if not selected.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been building things since I was old, enough to hold a hammer. I had 3 years of Industrial Arts which, included drafting, carpentry, printing, plastic forming, metals layout & fabrication, as well as, an in depth study of all industrial metal & wood shop tools & machines. I had an additional 4 years of Mechanical Drawing, combined with 2 years of Electricity & 2 years, of Electronics. I have a total of 45+ years of hands-on experience in layout & fabrication. I have, additionally, been trained by the National Kitchen & Bath Assn. in Kitchen & Bath design, have been certified by the IICRC in Fire Damage/Water Damage/Smoke Damage/Odor Control, as well as, Lead-free certifications for Renovator & Lead Dust Sampling Technician, as required by the Federal Government. I consider myself a Master Carpenter & have designed & hand-built entire kitchens, stairs & finish railings, during my tenure and continue to do,so. I have, also, become expert in most repairs, including: drywall, hardword/laminate flooring, ceramic tile, framing,siding (all types), roofing (most types), masonry, windows & doors. At times, I have been called upon as an expert witness, in law suits & as an expert in residential housing structures, for real estate issues.
