She was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Lydia studied advanced makeup artistry at Academy For Salon Professionals and Cosmetology at Cinta Aveda. Prior to obtaining her makeup artistry certification, she has done makeup for bridal parties, and worked on film sets and fashion shows. From a young age, Lydia has always been fascinated with makeup and cosmetics, following the footsteps of her dear mother, a working cosmetology professional for over 35 years. The editorial makeup that was done was absolutely amazing! She did such a wonderful job and applied all makeup delicately as if my face were a blank canvas for her to produce a masterpiece on. Couldn't be happier with the results I highly recommend for weddings, prom, or any special occasion!

My maid of honor recommended Cindy for my wedding hair styling and make up. Cindy did my make up and hair for my wedding and also for my maid of honor as well. She even came early and offered trial run for me. Throughout the wedding, she makes sure to reapply/touchup for me so I can always look my best. I have slight skin allergy but she works with me and still make me shine on my special day. Many guests commended well on my hair and make up, all thanks to Cindy.

Cindy showed outstanding initiative and professionalism when asked to apply makeup to 4 models, outside, in a practically public area. Not only were the looks she created beautiful, but they were also somewhat abstract, which was perfect for our avant-garde fashion shoot. Cindy displayed know-how and candor when applying makeup to Caucasian, Asian, and African-American skin tones and choosing an appropriate color palette to each. Highly recommend her skills and services.

She did the makeup for my wedding and it was a fantastic experience. I was never much of a makeup person so I'm glad I had Cindy there to take care of it all! She's friendly and professional and was always asking if I was comfortable and to tell her if I wasn't. I would definitely work with her again!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For all new clients - I would meet with you in person or chat over the phone. I would love to get to know you - What is your lifestyle like? What are some styles you love? Are you into a creative look or would you like makeup done that will enhance your natural beauty? I will help you look and feel photoshoot ready!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Graduated from the Advanced Makeup Artistry program from Academy For Salon Professionals in Santa Clara in 2016. Trained under Roque Cozzette's Airbrush Makeup Seminar (Cozzette is a world influencing makeup guru and mentor); passed Alpha level at Cinta Aveda cosmetology and worked on clients on the salon floor.
