FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I find that communication is key in anything. I prefer email but I can also communicate over the phone. When I am booked, I'll ask clients what their skin is like what they're not comfortable or comfortable with wearing. I'll ask if they've had a specific look in mind. After the communication from both parties reach an agreement with the service and if I'm the right makeup artist for the job, I will ask for a $10 deposit that is deducted from the overall quote once received.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a dancer for thirteen years so makeup always was this escape for me since I had to wear stage makeup. As I got older, I still really loved anything makeup related especially when YouTube was getting bigger. Makeup has always been my passion and for me it's important doing something you believe and are passionate about.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Communication is so important in this business and it's great for the client and the makeup artist to be able to share what they want done or what they don't like because at the end of the day the client should feel luxurious and gorgeous!
