30 Hands contacted me after my general inquiry through Thumbtack describing my project in Hanford. We own a commercial building needing much and we needed to recondition to be flawless for our tenant search. I am an owner but not a general contractor type. I made a list of what I needed done hoping responders could do significant parts of the work. When Kevin and Audra enthusiastically responded to my long list of needs, I knew we needed to meet. They surprised me by expressing confidently that the could do ALL my 26 items (which grew to 33 items as they pointed out other needs after they were on site and working). It was as if they filled that need I had for a general contractor without charging me extra for that. I made weekly trips to confirm their progress and made regular progress payments. Kevin did most of the physical work, while Audra proved to be excellent at keeping the paperwork straight. They would call me almost daily from various supply sources and I paid for the supplies over the phone in exchange for e-mailed copies of all receipts. The work progressed normally over most of a month. When I called for a deadline (March 9), they focused on it and final payment, all the things they promised to do were done on time at the final walk through with other owners and my wife who came with me. No project is without hiccups or changes. The growing work list dragged out the completion time and the cost, but reasonably. My 27 year old bathroom tile still looked old and faded after cleaning, and a few other items we were going to do were dropped in the interest of time and money priorities. But the remarkable thing about Kevin and Audra is whenever there was a change, they were right with me and never stopped until we agreed on the end of the project together. The scope of our needed work ranged from servicing HVAC units and finding a roof leak to replacing drop ceiling acoustic roof tiles, to replacing bathroom fixtures, to changing light bulbs, light fixtures, can lights and switches, to replacing old and damaged floor trim, to excellent window and floor cleaning including power washing and sealing aggregate stone walkways and lobby, to replacing and painting exterior building trim, to fixing broken breakroom patio and trash enclosure gates. Kevin and Audra took to heart my need to reveal to prospective tenants a worthy property with minimum interior aging and no defects. Everyone at the final walk through agreed they accomplished that. I introduced them to my property agent as an excellent resource for similar progress. They get my highest recommendation and I look forward to working with them in the future.
