What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on a per package system, whereas each form used in preparing a tax return has been assigned a price in the computer. The prices are based on industry rates being charged by my competitors.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I make it a practice to determine the following when interviewing a new customer: 1. Marital Status (Single, Married, Separated, etc) 2. Are they current with their tax filing up to this filing year. 3. Are they homeowners 4. Are they employees or business owners 5. If there are issues with the IRS or FTB, can they provide me with copies of past correspondence.
