Okay, so I am a nontraditional student of the Arts (58 years old), but I still have lots of desire to learn new things. Learning to play the piano has always been on my bucket list and when the opportunity to own a piano at no cost arose, well I just had to jump on it. And, when the time came to search for a piano instructor, I asked my FB friends to recommend someone. The name Mark Connors popped up every time. I knew I would need someone with a LOT of patience and understanding because I basically would be beginning at ground zero with absolutely no experience or knowledge of music. After only 5 months, I am pleased to report that I can read music and am thrilled with my personal progress of playing the piano, from single notes to chords, and sweet melodies. Mark has an engaging, friendly, non-intimidating approach. He is professional and encouraging. He makes lesson time fun and enjoyable. He even laughs with me when I give him excuse #105 for not practicing that week. I have been a middle school teacher for almost 15 years and know the challenges that teaching poses at times. Mark possesses the qualities of an amazing teacher. He is extremely knowledgeable in all realms of music, keeps up to date, has a deep-rooted passion for music, a natural talent for playing the guitar and piano and knows just how to personalize lessons to your specific needs. I have discovered a new escape from my daily stress in my latest passion of playing the piano. I owe my success to Mark.

I've been taking guitar lessons from Mark Connors for about 3 years. Having not played since my early twenties, at 60 years old I decided to look for a music teacher. Since I only had played rhythm guitar, my goal was to learn lead guitar and improve what little skills I had. Mark has a huge amount of experience, patience, and musical talent. I always look forward to each lesson, and because of Mark's patience and friendly approach, my enthusiasm and desire to improve has increased. Any song or technique that I need help with, Mark has the answer. No matter what level, if you are looking for a professional, helpful music teacher, look no further.

In addition to extensive professional experience I am a graduate of Berklee College of Music with a degree in Composition and Keene State College with a degree in Music Education.
