- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Luke began at a nursery at 15, transitioned to a well-known, Northeast Ohio landscaping company shortly after high school, achieved his LICT in Turf Maintenance in 2008, his LICT in Ornamental Maintenance and Principles in 2009, and acted as a judge for the LICT at Ohio State ATI in 2013. The LICT certification is a nationally recognized certification ensuring safe and proper industry standards where candidates must undergo not only written testing on their knowledge of the job, but also hands-on testing demonstrating the ability to preform the job, in front of a panel of judges. Later, Luke worked for the largest, most well-known landscaping company in the world. It was always Luke's dream to start his own landscaping company and to leave his own personal mark behind for clients.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Luke started in the green industry at a small, local nursery cultivating plants at 15, and he's worked with plants ever since.
