Hired on Thumbtack

I contacted Matt of MGB Landscaping & Grading through Thumbtack. I am an Electrical Contractor and I was installing a new and upgraded electrical service to a farm. I needed to have Matt give me a price to trench from the new service location to two other areas on the farm that also needed new power. After agreeing to Matts terms Matt and his crew showed up on time and got right to work. immediately we discovered that this was going to be more difficult than we thought. Every foot of trench we had to stop and dig out huge rocks. Since we had over 100' more to go we all new this was going to be a long day. Everyone on Matts team worked hard and got the trench dug to the required depth. I also hired Matt and his crew to trench another job for me about thirty days later. This was a much larger job but with better soil conditions. I would definitely recommend M.G.B. Landscaping and Grading!

Matt and his company did a great job with the digging and pouring concrete slap. I was dismayed after the install to learn that the landscape work to restore the lawn damaged by was not included. This was not illustrated in the contract and was a presumption on my part. I would recommend and consider hiring M.G.B Landscape & Grading again on future projects.

Matt and his crew removed a grouping of overgrown shrubs for us. M.G.B.'s pricing were much more reasonable than most of the other companies we contacted.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Our typical process starts with us meeting the client at the job site. We talk through what their needs and ideas are. We explain what we would do and explain the process and answer any questions you may have. We then take our measurements. If we can't provide an estimate on site we will send an estimate usually via email. The client reviews the quote and we make any changes as needed. After we have agreement we draft the contract. Project is finalized with signature. They client is given a start date. We let the client know when we are coming out about a week away and again within a day or two of start day. Once we start if changes needed to be made or additions are wanted we fill out an add/change form. Once project is complete an invoice is issued.
