FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Non-chip keys are $89 across the board. Pricing on chip keys (with programming) vary depending on the vehicle. Realistic pricing is approximately $125 for basic GM, Ford, Chrysler, Nissan, some Honda. Yes, we do keyless (push-button) cars, but the price of the keyfob must be added to the total cost. Depending on car, this could be up to $200. We do offer a programming only service for $75. You provide the fob/key (make sure the emergency key is cut!) I just program it. FORD CARS REQUIRE 2 KEYS/FOBS FOR PROGRAMMING.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I assess the situation, determine the year, make and model of the vehicle and the distance to it. Then, I will try to fit you into my schedule. If we can do it the next day, great. If however, you want me to drop what I am doing and rush right over, there will be a $25 charge applied to the basic cost.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in this business for 17 years. I primarily make keys for the auto wholesale industry, repo yards, Mom and Pop dealerships and larger dealerships as well. Time is as valuable as money, so I won't waste yours by taking forever to arrive and even longer to do the work! Fast, quality service is the name of my game.
