Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator
About this pro
Enza was an incredibly helpful resource to me when I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes. From the very first meeting, Enza explained my condition in easy-to-understand terms so I knew what my body was going through. We came up with eating plans and backup plans for days when a set schedule wasn't an option (I work full-time and go to school part time). We also talked about how I could squeeze some low-impact fitness into my hectic schedule. Since I started seeing Enza three weeks ago, I have lost weight because of my experience and I know I am on the right track to lose more. Enza was easy to work with and had down-to-earth goals that fit into my lifestyle. She was professional and friendly, answered all my emails in a timely manner. The best thing about Enza's assistance is that the information and education she gave me can apply to anyone and everyone - not just someone that's diabetic or pre-diabetic. I've already referred several people to her, including my doctor and my boss. Also, if you think you can't afford services like a Dietitian, I believe you will be pleasantly surprised at the affordable rates for initial assessments and and follow up visits.Feb 21, 2018
I am a diabetic and went to Enza for counseling to help stabilize my sugars. She taught me about the nutritional value of different foods and how to properly read and understand the product labels. Enza worked with me to come up with a menu plan that fits my lifestyle...making it easy to stick to. Based on my likes and dislikes, she suggested different foods for me to try. Enza is easy to work with and talk to. She helped me stabilize and maintain my sugars allowing me "To Get Back to Normal".Nov 10, 2016Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? At this time I do not accept insurance so I try to make my prices affordable and reasonable. An initial session is $80 for 90 minutes and include a 1 week interactive food log so I can follow you as you get started. Follow-ups are $60. I also offer three healthy eating classes as an affordable alternative. This is perfect for people who want great information, but not all of the attention. Classes are $30 each, and clients who attend all classes can add on an individual session for a discounted rate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? In our first session, we take a look at your typical day. What you eat, where you eat, who you eat with. Are you eating at home or out? From there we see where the problems lie and we make small changes. This is not something that starts or stops. There is no list of good or bad food. It's amazing how much small changes make a big impact.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I became a Registered Dietitian in 2002 and a Certified Diabetes Educator in 2006. I have worked in an outpatient diabetes center since 2006, and helped develop and implement many health programs for employees and patients alike. I am very active in community outreach programs and lectures.
