I have known and hired Carlton for work over 10 years –both for his expertise as a musician and videographer. Regardless of which medium he works with, what I admire about him is his commitment to honing his craft. In a short amount of time, I have watched his new career as a photographer mature in leaps and bounds - experimenting with subject matter and landscapes while adventuring. In Carlton, you get the best of both worlds, someone who has a professional work ethic but also an artist with a unique vision. Knowing him in his past life as a small business owner of a recording studio, I see the benefit of his experience having worked with so many different clients and personalities with visions of his/her own. I can speak from experience that he rises to the occasion when called upon. I hired TakeOne Imaging to drive an hour and a half away to record and produce a short video inside of a space my company designed. He was patient working with our unrehearsed speaking parts. He offered instant feedback about what looked and sounded better on screen and he had technical command of the tools he used and all the while keeping a comfortable, upbeat, and happy disposition even after the hours went on. He had a draft of the video back to us within days and presented options with different music and gladly made tweaks to things we wanted changed. In our field of work (interior design), we hire many different photographers and the first thing I say when interviewing one is “we don’t need a diva” – that is, someone who doesn’t take instructions because they think they know what we want. In Carlton, you know you will get someone who will listen, be flexible, communicate, and deliver. I highly recommend him and wish him well on his artistic reawakening as a photographer.
