FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We do not charge for consultation. Shoot days: $200 an hour for the director $150 an hour for the photographer $45 per hour for editing $25 for each digital upload $200 for archiving (optional)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin with a one-hour interview that discusses the specific needs, evaluating the proposal and making suggestions. The script is the single most important element and we work closely with the client to develop a script that is compelling. We plan every shoot and hire actors, if needed; scout locations and prepare rough visualizations of the finished piece. Once filming is complete, we begin the editing, in close consultation with the client, presenting a first cut within five business days. The contract will include the number of revisions that will be allowed for the established price, which can vary depending on the project. Complex projects take longer, of course, and will cost more.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was trained in theater, primarily as a director and designer. I began my career in film in shooting news, documentaries and commercials for KTHV Channel 11 in Little Rock, Arkansas. I have attended numerous workshops and master classes with directors of photography, lighting specialists and documentary directors. We have made three short dramatic films, our specialty, and currently are working on a documentary film about a 30-year-old cold case murder.
