FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a baseline of pricing, but there are so many different options that could come up that would adjust the price accordingly. I like to think that I could work with anyone's budget and come up with a solution that works for all parties involved!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My client and I will chat before our session so they can tell me a little bit about themselves. If it's for a larger event like a wedding or a shower, we'll meet for coffee and go over the day in detail, put together a shot list, and talk about the kind of mood they'd like to evoke in their photos. For bigger things like this, and surprise engagements, I will often scout the location beforehand and get to know the area I'm going to be shooting in.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to college for Communication Design, which included photography studio classes and translates extremely well to the field of photography. While our main focus was graphic design, we learned about line, color, shapes, balance, harmony, rhythm, composition...and so much more; plus the relationships between them all! This training has turned me into a better photographer because I am able to pay attention to subtle nuances that have the opportunity to take a photo to the next level. I am very into continuing education and regularly take online courses and attend local classes to hone my skills and stay on top of trends.
