FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work on an hourly pricing scale on most projects but offer fixed pricing for staging and smaller styling pricing. Most designers offer hourly price rates or take a commission based on the size of the budget. I work this way to actually save the client money, and my clients have always appreciated not having to worry about creeping costs. For a simple decorating "refresh", I charge $250 per room. This includes a consultation and design concept that would incorporate most of the existing furniture and selection of complimentary accessories to finish the space. For larger scale projects that require coordinating vendors, selection of a custom color palette, and purchasing of furniture and accessories, I charge hourly for the entire project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love meeting new clients! In our first meeting, I enjoy just getting to know all about the client - their family, interests, journey. I think this is the most important step in the process since this is how I will get to you well, which is key to creating a space that truly reflects you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been designing for close friends and family members for about 7 years, and about 2 years ago, decided to create a formal business. In that time frame I have taken design classes and have over 300 hours of experience in home decorating.
