I enjoyed working with Kim from the beginning of the process to the very end. I showed her a picture of a cake that I wanted that I found on Pinterest. She was immediately cut the dent in her ability to replicate the cake. After seeing the cake I believe it was better than the picture! Kim even went as far as delivering the cake to the venue, she was very prompt in there she arrived before any of the family. This was an awesome experience and I will definitely hire her for the baby shower cake.

When it came time to pick up our wedding cake, we couldn't get ahold of her. We had family in Greensboro waiting for the address to go pick it up, but we couldn't get her to respond or call us back with the address, despite having arranged with her earlier in the day to leave it for us to pick up. We didn't even ask her to meet us. We just asked her to leave it on her front porch, and we'd go by without her having to wait since she was leaving town the next day. But, we could never get the address from her or even a reply to our texts and calls. As a result, we never got the cake we paid for and had to scramble last minute the day of without a wedding cake. We never heard from her afterward, either. So, we paid her for our cake but never received it or anything in return, not even an apology or response.

You will not receive a full refund. The money paid was for cake supplies and time spent which was long hours to create your custom cake. This was completed.
Original quote and invoice declined delivery which was an additional $25.
Arrangements were clearly made to meet Thursday 6pm off i-40 Freeman mill rd exit. Made it convenient for you to not have to go into Greensboro too far. It was clear that the cake needed to be picked up on Thursday because you was leaving early Friday morning for a private holiday party (not vow renewal).
Thursday 6pm I was at delivery/pickup location. After waiting 30 minutes and no attempt to pickup after numerous texts and calls, I received a message buyer was in Raleigh 1.5 hours away and husband was 30 minutes away and will need to pick up Friday morning.
No call or communication to pickup on Friday morning. At 11am, communication was sent reminding that cake need to be picked up by 2pm or order cancelled. I was flying out early flight on Sat and would be unavailable.
2:30pm. There was a missed call from buyer. I returned call. Buyer didn't recognize I was cake order. She acknowledged she had not picked it up yet and apologized. Said they had 5 people in vehicle and no room for cake. That was when I knew there was never any intentions to ever pick up the cake.
Buyer said to leave on porch and give address for another pickup attempt from someone else other than contract with. Would call back to make arrangements.
11:45pm (clearly more than 24 hours and after 3 attempts to pickup/delivery), I received missed calls and voicemails. Calls were missed because i was sleep for early flight and certainly not have a stranger come to my home address.
After 24 hours and clear attempts of not picking it up. Order was closed. This was food. Not merchandise.
The cake is still refrigerated in original box and can be delivered for additional charge. After Friday which will be 2 weeks, it will be discarded.
I have copies of all communications from thumbtack, and text, call logs attempting to contact you and agreement of 1st pickup. Close claim. If escalated to PayPal, I will provide all of this information to back up communication agreed between you and me. Again, because of the long hours and supplies that was bought to complete your custom cake, you will not receive a full refund. And the cake has been refrigerated for 2 weeks and still available until Friday night or will be discarded.
