I liked almost everything about my move with Elite Movers. They were responsive, professional and reasonably priced. They were on time. And were very careful not to scuff my newly painted walls and newly refinished floors. They took longer than expected, but I have a lot of stairs. My partner and I both used Elite Moving as our movers. Although the movers were friendly, they damaged several pieces of furniture as well as the house we moved into. One of my two movers suffered from asthma and had to constantly take breaks, prolonging my move from the originally estimated 5-6 hours to 12+ hours. They movers even took a lunch break on my time. After contacting the owner, Derrick, about our bad experiences, he was nice about things at first and requested we send pictures of the damage. This lead to him wanting to come out to assess the damage. Then, that turned into him wanting to bring all of the movers with him to the new house while I was alone and my partner was at work to “resolve” this matter. I don’t know whether this was some sort of intimidation tactic on Derrick’s part, but my partner and I have now contacted a lawyer and reported this company to the Better Business Bureau. DO NOT USE ELITE!!! They will milk you for your every penny and then leave you high and dry when they’ve caused damage to your belongings and property. Hi Jon. First and foremost we apologized up and down and told you we want to have any damaged assessed so we can get it taken care of. Derrick talked to you both yesterday to make arrangements to meet with the movers involved. He got a response back saying that you guys needed to coordinate to make sure you both was there. Never was there any intimidation on our part at all. We absolutely understand that there was an issue and we want to take care of it. I’m sorry for any confusion and there was requests for the same guys and had we known there was an issue on the first move it would have been addressed immediately. Not until after the 2nd move did we get any information that you had a bad experience. We still want to make sure everything is to your satisfaction and do what we can to make sure this is addressed.
The guys jim, tim and mike were right on time. They were friendly courteous and great at their jobs. They made a stressful experience a pleasant one. First time movers have not broken something. I would highly recommend this company.Sep 22, 2018Verified
The movers did not move everything that needed to be moved. It's too bad that one has to babysit them to make sure that all items were moved. One person neglected to follow directions to move boxes from my third floor, which required asking my family to move stuff for me. The basement was totally overlooked, and they quit early. I realize the day's heat was brutal, but they did not work the entire 4 hours, even though I paid for 4 hours.Sep 10, 2018Verified
They were excellent. A lamp shade broke when they tilted it to get it into the truck. It was our fault because we had not attached it correctly, but they insisted on replacing it, saying, "We should have checked." I will certainly use them again and recommend them to others.Aug 31, 2018Verified
