- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before booking we like to ask you inquiring customers how your dog feels about other dogs. If your dog doesn't appreciate other dogs' company we will make sure to keep your dog upstairs or outside with us while our dogs stay downstairs and vice versa. We would love to know if your dog may be hyper, that way we can make sure to play with him or her outside often so he or she doesn't feel the need to jump off the walls! We need to know what times your dog expects to go to the bathroom and times he or she will need to go outside. Is your dog ok being alone in the spacious studio space for up to 4.5 hours if I am scheduled to work for my part time job? If not, I can ask my work ahead of time to not be scheduled during your dog's stay. Before or after we are booked for your dog's stay we give the option to meet beforehand and meet your dog and even have our dogs meet. Within their first hour of drop off, I help your companion familiarize with our two pups and their new temporary home. I then situate them and sit with them so they feel calm again. We love sending photos and updates of new, fun, cute memories your pooch makes at home with us. We hope after his or her stay you can give us a supportive review.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My husband and I are madly in love with our affectionate, three-legged rescue Jackrussell mix whom we have cared for since she was a puppy coming off of the streets and my 14 year old, deaf Papillon Zoe who has been spoiled by my parents and I since she was a pup. We have enjoyed taking care of and understanding the diverse habits, comforts and needs of breeds from Whippets to Retrievers to Terriers.
