Carol has cared for my two dogs and cat in our home on several occasions. It's really nice to have them safe in our home and pampered by Carol. They were happy to see us when we got home but sad to see her leave!

Carol Self has a real gift with animals. She'll go far beyond any instructions you left for your animal if the need arises. You can trust her instincts. Great peace of mind!

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

It's very important to talk with the customer to learn about their animals. Each one is an individual and is treated that way depending on the animal's needs. I am constantly upgrading my skills with research and discovery.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I graduated from college with a degree in Life Sciences, including courses in animal husbandry, wildlife biology, the psychology of animal behavior, and many more. I have volunteered with the humane society, Greenville zoo, animal rehab groups, and am a member of numerous animal right's groups. I have assisted in the birth of many animals and humans :) I have also been called on to help with senior animals because of my attention to their specific needs.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

At an early age, I was interested in becoming a veterinarian and later on realized that I wasn't interested in surgery etc that went on with the profession. I was more interested in the love and care of reptiles, birds, and mammals. I have raised so many different animals...from alligators to a wallaby (no zebras).
