Introduction: I have been teaching violin for more than a decade and a relaxed and welcoming environment is what I offer to all my students. I am passionate about music education and most importantly I support the student's journey as a developing musician. I teach all group ages and what I enjoy the most is getting to know my students and help them achieve both short and long term goals. I communicate openly and motivate open and analytical thinking during lessons. I believe there are many talented violinists and I encourage everyone to pursue their talents.

I am an adult learner, I started with a different instructor but I was frustrated with a number of things. I contacted Tania with my frustrations and then started lessons. She has been a joy to work with. Her first question to me was what my goals were. I really appreciated this, because I am an adult who has carved out 30-60 minutes each day to practice. So I definitely have goals. The overall goal of improving is nicely balanced with pieces and styles that I find interesting and enjoyable. My previous teacher was not very attentive to body mechanics and so I was hitting a wall both in terms of ability and comfort. I mentioned to him my back was hurting and he thought I was making conversation rather than asking for help. I didn't even need to tell Tania my back was hurting after practicing, because she starting suggesting tweaks to my mechanics after watching me play for just a few minutes. Playing immediately became more comfortable and enjoyable. Tania understands that playing violin is parts listening, mechanics, theory and playing. When I'm having trouble with one we will discuss parts of the others and a first it didn't seem related then suddenly I see a convection between the different parts and the connection makes my playing better. I would absolutely recommend Tania. She has a deep understanding of the topic and makes learning violin funner and easier. Scheduling has always been easy.

Tania is teaching violin to my 6 year old daughter. We only had one in person lesson before quarantine, and Tania has been amazing by offering virtual lessons. She understands the attention span of a 6 year old, and doesn't push her too hard. As most children, my daughter wants to play songs, and not learn the fundamentals. Tania is excellent and showing why the bow hold and form, make all the difference in the sounds she can make. Also, throwing a wrench into the lessons, we got a brand new violin right before the quarantine, and Tania and I have to try to tune, and figure out the sounds together, and I have no experience with the violin. She has been so patient with us, and I appreciate her efforts so much. She is an excellent teacher, and I highly recommend her if your child is interested in learning the violin.

My son is taking lesson with Tania for last one and half years. She is very diligent and particular. She pushes him hard but also encourages when necessary. She is friendly and professional.

Tania is an excellent teacher with an impressive background and education. She is attentive to her student's abilities and needs and works to bring out the best in that student. She is extremely easy to work with and strives to provide her students with a well-rounded music education all while allowing the parent to be a part of the experience.

When I meet new students I like to learn about their goals as musicians, future plans and how passionate are they about music. Lessons are focused on improving technique, musicality, and set-up.
