Introduction: 3rd Degree Smooth is Baton Rouge's only Not So Smooth Jazz trio. Made up of the Carbonation Horn Section of the Carbon Copy Band we play instrumental covers as well at today's and yesterdays smooth jazz hits from Grover Washington and Art Farmer to Dave Koz and BWB. We met while members of the LSU Golden Band from Tigerland. Perfect for restaurants, weddings and corporate events.
We take pride in showing up early to set up, provide quality smooth jazz music for your event and at the end of the night, tear down and pack up our equipment quickly. We enjoy playing music and having a good time.

I'm the co-sponsor of a local private school's annual jr/sr prom. Our students decided to do a Roaring Twenties/Jazz Age theme, and we thought it would be a fun idea to have a jazz ensemble play "dinner music" for our students. Steve and Reggie were great to work with! They showed up early, set up quickly, played quality music, and offered us a great deal. We were unsure whether or not our high school students would really enjoy it, but several of them commented later that it was an awesome addition to the night and that the guys really helped set the mood for the theme of the night.
