Introduction: I am an award-winning filmmaker who also has extensive experience doing event videography. My videos have generated over 50,000 Youtube and Vimeo hits to date. I would be happy to help with any aspect of film production, from planning, writing, shooting or directing, to editing and preparing for distribution. I also shoot weddings-- highlight reels available upon request!
Above all, I love collaborating with others, and I love telling stories. Filmmaking brings together so many creative elements-- composition, sound, music, acting, etc. I love helping others develop and expand their unique stories by calling on all elements of filmmaking.
NOTE for 2019: I know this may come off as a bit odd but-- please do not request an estimate from me, as Thumbtack now makes us freelancers pay an exorbitant penalty! (It's free when I reach out to you.) I am trying to fill my schedule and am available most weekends through the summer. Melissa did a fantastic job working with me to create a meaningful tribute to my father, and one that we will cherish when he is no longer with us. We did 2 videos, one of his 95th party and celebration and another of us 'touring' his favorite places in our hometown that same weekend. I brought her the raw footage, audio recordings, and photos and we worked together to shape the pieces. What she did on her own was fabulous, and, also very importantly to me, she was able to take my vision and bring it to life. She is an artist, engages and listens well, and makes a project fun. She gave me the product I envisioned and my dad and family love it too.

Melissa McClung exceeded our expectations for this project. She not only delivered everything she promised, she listened and asked questions in order to be sure she truly understood what we were looking for. This saved a great deal of time in the long run, because very little editing was needed. I think what I love most about Melissa's work is her ability to tell a story through both shooting and editing. She is a joy to work with, and has high standards for her work. She will be our go-to for any future projects.

Melissa was a pleasure to work with. She was willing to sign up for our wedding at the last minute, after my sister decided to get us a videographer for our wedding as a gift. She was very professional, and really nice, which was especially great considering our wedding day ended up being 100 degrees! We loved our videos also, and she was very receptive to all of our suggestions. Highly recommend!
