FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My flat hourly rate is $50/hour. However, some tasks, due to their nature, are better charged flat-rate. You wouldn't want to pay $50/hour for me to transfer data for 3 hours while the computer just sits there working... I iron out details with the customer and make sure we agree on a fair price and pricing scheme before getting to work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I talk with the customer first by email to get a basic idea of the problem and then over the phone to iron out any wrinkles. I make sure to get the exact problem to be solved in writing so that we are on the same page as to what's going on and what needs to be fixed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am CompTIA A+ and Network+ certified and have worked in the IT field for almost 3 years. I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and have worked as an engineer for almost 6 years, with several years devoted to electronics test and measurement.
