FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of NAPO, the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals. I am a Certified Professional Organizer (CPO®) and I hold a specialist certificate in Residential Organizing and Organizing through Life Transitions.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always hire an organizer that is a member of NAPO. NAPO professionals are held to a strict code of conduct, are educated in productivity and organization coursework and are governed by a board of directors. Always look for an organizer that you feel comfortable with. Organizers will inevitably develop a relationship with their client and if you don't feel like the organizer is a good fit for you, then don't push it...you'll find the perfect person to work with you...don't settle!
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Always ask what steps they will take to complete your project. This doesn't need to be an in-depth proposal, but an experienced organizer should be able to view a project and easily create their plan of 'attack'. The plan will develop and small tweaks will occur along the way, but the overall concept will remain and should be something that you feel good about.
