We offer custom wedding planning services, preferred vendor discounts, and custom design services. Initial consultations for all services are free and we can work within any budget. Although we are located in Nashville, we can travel to out-of-town locations. Please contact us for availability. What do you enjoy about the work you do?

I love to organize and see all of the details come together! I have worked in the wedding business for over 15 years as a freelance cake designer, creating beautiful cakes and 3D designs for many different types of weddings in many locations within Tennessee and surrounding states. I also have over 23 years of operations and business management, event planning, and project management. In addition, I coordinated my own wedding, created all of the designs, cake, invitations, decorations, and managed all of the vendors. For the last 2 years, I have worked with Top Tier Band, assisting with weddings, managing timelines, and coordinating events.

    Carolyn and her assistant Meg went above and beyond to make my wedding absolutely perfect. My bridal bouquet through a different florist was not what I expected and Carolyn went so far as to drive to the store to purchase more flowers and touch it up herself without being asked!! The big day went perfect and was completely stress free thanks to Top Tier Events.

    Top Tier Events was top notch! Carolyn was readily available from the time I hired her. Prompt with emails, texts, and phone calls. She met with me twice in person prior to the wedding to go over expectations and then again at the venue to get the layout and work out the details of the day. Her wedding knowledge base is great as she helped me hire a couple other people for services that day. Carolyn ran my wedding day with ease! She and her assistant, Brooke were on top of everything and there was not one hiccup!!!! My day went flawless from start to finish and I could not have done it without her!! Carolyn is extremely organized, easy to work with, and she works great with people! She made a detailed timeline of the day and kept things running smooth and on time! She made my day so much fun for me, my husband, our families and friends because we did not have to worry about one detail; Carolyn had it covered!!! Best decision of my planning was hiring her!

    Hiring Carolyn and JD with Top Tier Events was absolutely one of the best decisions I made when planning my wedding! My only regret was not hiring them sooner! I did my own wedding planning and decided to hire a 'day of coordinator' about 25 days before my wedding to help the day run smoothly. I am a very organized person, I plan cities for a living and I totally thought I could handle the coordination and planning of a 90 person wedding myself. I have to admit, though, that without the help of Carolyn and JD I would have been so stressed and frazzled the days leading up to the wedding, especially the day of. They made the process SO much easier and FUN for me. Carolyn assisted me in confirming contracts and details with all of the vendors, and helped me nail down the details of my timeline in the month leading up to my wedding. I live in Louisville and she is based in Nashville so we did all of this over the phone and through email, but it was still convenient and her responsiveness was so quick. The day of the wedding Carolyn and JD drove from Nashville to my home, helped us load and transport all of the decor and items we needed to bring to the venue which was about 20 minutes away. Once we got to the venue Carolyn and JD helped us unload the cars and while we were getting ready, they put together all of the decor items for me. She sent me photos to make sure things were set up the way that I had imagined and made necessary changes if needed. JD even dropped me off at my hair appointment and picked up dessert items and a last minute alcohol order for me! The entire day stayed on time and remained stress-free thanks to Carolyn and JD. Because of Top Tier Events, my husband and I were able to focus on what was important - each other - and we had the absolute best day of our lives. I can't imagine what our day would have been like without them and I will be forever grateful for the work. They worked their butts off and remained professional with poise and charm!

    We could not have chosen a better wedding coordinator than Carolyn and JD! We did not have to worry about anything on our wedding day at all - they handled every single detail without missing a step. They went above and beyond our expectations - from helping to set up all of the decor to making sure every little detail was in place and they were the first ones there and the last ones to leave. Carolyn walked us through every step of the way and well in advance of our wedding date to make sure everything was the way we wanted it to be. She was really patient with me even when I changed the seating arrangements and other things around. We had so many compliments from our guests and even the other vendors. We will absolutely recommend this company to our family and friends!!

    Everything was so organized. The food was delicious and it was a very good flow for a buffett. Desserts were amazing- even a chocolate fountain! Carolyn made it a very comfortable social setting!!

Yes, I have an information sheet that outlines all of the pricing information for my services.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process is to set up a phone or in-person consultation to be able to meet with potential clients and review my services. I first want to hear about your needs and expectations for your event. Then I review the planning process, go over questionnaires to ensure I have all the relevant information, and answer any questions about the contract. The process can take about 1 - 2 hours depending on the type of event, number of vendors, and the amount of guests.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started working as a freelance cake designer and then worked with Top Tier band for the last couple of years. I have an eye for detail and am very organized, creative, and like to think outside the box. I know how to throw a great party, too! So I decided that wedding and event planning was a great career.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with all types of customers with all different needs. I can plan any type of wedding or event, from a small intimate party to a large full-scale event.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently helped organize and coordinate a wedding for about 90 guests. The planning took approximately four weeks.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you hire a professional that has your best interests at heart! Find someone who is very responsive and listens to what you what, is upfront about what services he or she can provide, and seems genuinely interested in your needs.
