Introduction: I majored in Spanish and minored in Education in college, which included a semester of living in Barcelona, Spain. While there, I attended a university of Pompeu Fabra, where all of my classes were in Spanish. This provided me with an invaluable opportunity to learn Spanish at the level of a native speaker. Since college, I have learned first-hand that being bilingual sets one apart in searching for jobs and enhances professional opportunities within many industries. I am eager to help other students achieve similar outcomes by learning this valuable language. I have several years of experience in teaching English as a Second Language classes to high school students and adults alike. My students were all successful in their learning goals, and made significant improvements in their language skills. I am patient and perceptive to the individual learning style of each student. I recognize that everyone does not learn the same way, and I have a very individualized approach to teaching. When appropriate, depending on a student's skill level, I can tutor entirely in Spanish. But regardless of the level a student is at, I have many creative strategies to use. Whether you're a beginner or in advanced Spanish, I am skilled at adapting my lessons to match your level. I am also flexible with scheduling, available during the day, evening, and on weekends; and I am willing to tutor in a neutral place, such as the public library.
