Introduction: I am a Hixson/Chattanooga-based certified personal trainer and licensed sports nutrition coach. I specialize in not only working with in-person clients, but also creating custom, online fitness and nutrition programs with proper education on how to nourish your body from within; without the need for restrictive dieting and helping my clients get to the root of what is holding them back from success. Having coached over 2,000 clients from all over the world in the past few years alone, I have successfully helped transform the lives of my clients with programs and recipes I have developed that entire families can enjoy and not feel like they are on a diet, but rather, meals that can help create a sustainable and enjoyable way of eating. Stretch Fitness was originally founded as a boutique personal training service based in the Midwest with a primary focus on 1:1 strength training and weight management programs by women, for women. We expanded our services to also provide comprehensive Online & Mobile Training programs for both men and women. Stretch Fitness employs a unique personal approach to fitness training and nutrition, and all clients undergo a complete assessment and collaborative program planning session before training begins. Stretch Fitness delivers an intimate and comprehensive approach to goal-setting, strength training, endurance, flexibility, core strength, and nutrition. At Stretch Fitness, you won't ever deal with crowds, monthly gym membership fees or the intimidation of training in front of the public eye, because every private session takes place at our fully functional residential facility. In addition, our remote training programs include a variety of custom online workouts that are tailored to your specific fitness goals, and can be performed in the comfort of your own home or personal gym with minimal equipment. All I can say is that she will change your life. I have known Dawn for over 20 years now and can tell you she is very passionate about helping others. I recently reached out to her after I had visited my doctor for a checkup (it had been some time since I was last at the doctor) and when you hear the words high sugar levels and elevated cholesterol you don't feel so good about yourself. Well all of that changed after I talked with Dawn. I told her what I had just heard from the doctor and that I was going to go back in 8 weeks for another check up. The first words out her mouth were "we got this!". So I signed up and let me tell you, we did it. I followed the program and nutrition she tailored specifically for me based upon a few days of food logs, a very complete questionnaire, current measurements and pictures. I received my plan and went to work. The support that she provided me and still does today is second to none. She is always there when you need her. So at the 8 week mark it was time to go back to the doctor and guess what. I had lost 20lbs and my cholesterol and sugars were trending in the right direction. My doctor saw the results and told me that we would go another 4 months and check again since the program was working so good he saw no need to use any medication for treatment. I would recommend Coach Dawn to anyone, she will get you the results you are looking for. Thanks again Coach Dawn, I am forever in your debt for what you have done for me.

I first contacted Dawn about a custom nutrition program- I felt that I had the workout portion 'down', but wasn't seeing the results I wanted and knew it had to be in part due to nutrition. My first months results were fantastic- I was the leanest I had ever been, eating more than I had ever eaten- EVERY recipe I tried that she provided was an absolute hit with myself, and my hubs and 2 young boys. I never felt hungry or deprived- and was eating more carbs than I ever had before. I then decided to give Coach Dawn's fitness program a try- and while I didn't think I could ever workout without a DVD to follow, I discovered I LOVED the format, and I saw great improvement in my cardio endurance, with very little high intensity cardio! Dawn is the whole package- her recipes are delicious, workouts are fun - and she's simply amazing to work with, there with a fast reply to ANY question you may have- and trust me, I had a lot of them! She provides tremendous support, she's funny as can be- she's just a joy to work with! Give Coach Dawn a try- your life will change for the better!

My journey with Dawn started in May 2017 and I am currently still working with Dawn. I have always been an athlete and enjoyed working out, however, I had always felt that I was missing the nutrition part with my workouts. I had a trainer that I paid a lot of money to for one year and I got 2 workouts to alternate back and forth each month. He would train me one day a week and the other days, I would go to his gym and train myself with the 1 workout to alternate back and forth with for one month. I was basically doing 2 workouts for the entire month. I told this trainer that I wanted to get in the best shape of my life and he put me on a nutrition plan where he calculated my macros and it was left up to me how to divide that up. So I basically ate chicken and broccoli all day long, 6 meals a day. I was super dedicated and motivated and stuck with this for about 4 months and what I looked like back then is nothing compared to how I look like now. After 8 weeks with Dawn, my body changed significantly. Best of all, I did this all at home and actually eating meals besides chicken and broccoli. Dawn provides many choices for each meal of the day and there is so much freedom and I actually enjoy eating again. Everywhere I go, I get compliments on my arms and whether I work out. My body has never felt or looked better. It was a little scary to take the plunge and do this all online but I figured, what do I have to lose? And it was the best decision that I have made. I am going to go into my 40s looking amazing. I have never felt better or more confident. Dawn takes the time to get to know you and your body, she does what you ask her to. She will modify any workout or nutrition to meet your needs. When I started working with Dawn, I was going through a rough time in my life. Being a single mom to an 8 year old daughter was tough. I needed some direction and guidance. I was working out every day buying any kind of trainer I could online and not seeing any results. In fact, I saw a friend recently that I have not seen in over 6 months and she was amazed at the changes I have made. She also reminded me that I worked out like crazy and ate super clean but I was just bulky but I look completely different now. At the time, it was the start of summer and I had all these trips planned, a wedding to attend and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do it before summer started or just wait until after summer. I made the decision to just go for it. Dawn made everything so easy. I went to Vegas twice during the summer, Dawn gave me some suggestions, I emailed her where I would be going for meals and she would reply back with what choices I could decide on. I am so glad that I started with Dawn and honestly, I have learned so much that I can probably continue on without her expertise and maintain my weight but I just absolutely love Dawn’s workouts and nutrition plan. She has so much knowledge and has such a genuine and kind heart that I see her being a part of my life permanently. Not only have I gained a life long friend but a brand new outlook in life with my health. I love all the experience and knowledge she brings to me and I can’t thank Dawn enough with how much she has changed my body. I am at my lowest weight in about 10+ years and I actually love my new lifestyle. It is such an easy plan that requires not much effort for me to eat. I hate missing my meals because I just enjoy eating so much now. If you want to see positive changes in your body and life, give Dawn a try, she’s worth it! Not only will you gain a friend, but valuable knowledge and positive energy to lead the best possible life you can.

Dawn Thelen, owner of Stretch Fitness, is the BEST personal trainer I know. She is 110% dedicated to every client. She not only helps her clients meet their goals, but hit them out of the park! She is very well educated in nutrition and personal training and she herself follows her meal plans and exercise programs. One thing I love about Dawn not only as a trainer, but as a person is she LISTENS to you...I mean really listens to your needs, wants, desires, hopes and dreams. She makes YOU make them all a reality! Believe me when I say this first hand (and 30lbs lighter), she helped me see the person I always wanted to be.....happy and HEALTHY! :)
