It was a genuine pleasure working with Juliana in the context of my research project on collaborative interior design in virtual reality. She has a vibrant and playful aesthetic, and a kind, gentle way of working with people. I was very impressed at her ability and willingness to roll with all of the unexpected twists and turns that a research project inevitably brings. She was asked to interact with new and unfamiliar technology; we asked her to improvise a style of client interaction appropriate to our virtual reality environment; and she helped to suggest and carry out appropriate example tasks. As part of the work, she interacted with at least ten other people, who were role playing as clients in the virtual environment. She was able to engage with each person, matching their style of communication and understanding their preferences. Throughout all of this, she remained cheerful, energetic, and warm. All of this work happened over several sessions, and required a high level of commitment on her part. I am confident that she treats every client with the same level of attention and dedication as she did me. I am truly grateful to her for her contributions to the work, and am thankful for the opportunity my team had to work with her.Oct 31, 2018Verified
Julianna is fun to work with. Understands our needs , very patient and professional at the same time . I love the way things are shaping up with her design and suggestions for our home. She always finds a connection with our choice and ties the whole thing aesthetically right at the same time . And I trust her judgement . Her high end product choices and designs at budget friendly costs is a huge bonus!! I will recommend her work to as many as I can. Last but not the least , she is such a joy and fun to work with !!Mar 23, 2018Verified
Juliana helped me to furnish and decorate my entire apartment this summer. We downsized from a house in the suburbs and wanted to start from scratch. From the beginning, I knew she was the perfect choice for the project. She listened to me, asked questions, took me “idea shopping,” and gave me lots of ideas for pulling a room together. We had a lot to do, and I work full time, but we were able to get everything done in record time. We shopped together often, and she quickly recognized things that I might like. She brought me to all kinds of places, from high-end stores to small area shops I never knew existed. Juliana always had an eye out to look for pieces I might like and sent me photos and links for items she found while out shopping or online. She even created some original pieces of art for the wall. I’m so happy with the finished work—it’s just as chic as she said it would be! Juliana has a wonderful personality, and it was a pleasure to work with her. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and talented designer who can confidently mix high and low pieces to create a beautiful space.Nov 2, 2018Verified
Creative Interiors was recommended to us from a friend, Juliana the owner met with my husband and I. She really understood our needs and couple of weeks after measuring our family room, her presentation was right on. We were very pleased with her work and would definitely recommend her.Apr 26, 2016
We hired Juliana, owner of Creative Interiors, on the recommendation from a person that we worked with. This person contracted with Juliana to redecorate the bedroom and living room in their home. They were thrilled with the results, and commented that Juliana did an exceptionally great job. When we renovated our home, Juliana and I went shopping for fabrics for new drapes for the house; new bed comforters; and fabrics for sofas and chairs that we wanted recovered. She is a wealth of information about decorating, and she brought us to shops that we would not have been familiar with without Juliana's help. We also went to an art gallery with her, and we bought a couple of prints and had them framed. Juliana was amazing with the help she gave us choosing frames that looked the best with the prints we chose. She put 100% into helping us redecorate our house. She came to our house and helped us hang the framed prints , explaining the lighting in the rooms and the pros and cons of putting the prints on certain walls. The results were beautiful because of Juliana. Another thing that we really appreciated about her is that she taught us so much about decorating. She explained everything to us as we shopped. No matter how many questions we had, Juliana always had the answers. Juliana is a kind and caring person. She is very easy to work with. She has unending amounts of patience, and accommodated all of our needs. Juliana never cancelled an appointment with us, she was always on time, and her help was invaluable. The characteristic in Juliana that we appreciate so much is her honesty. She never tried to persuade us to purchase anything we did not like. She insisted that we make the final decisions on all purchases. Juliana's words to us were: "At the end of the day, you live in the house and you have to be happy with it." We were happy when it was completed and we still are grateful that we met and worked with Creative Interiors.May 1, 2016
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I tend to charge an hourly fee for big jobs which is deducted from a retainer but for smaller jobs I just ask for a flat rate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Working with a new customer is when I usually ask them about the things that they do and do not like, really trying to understand them, ask about their needs, and explain what they should expect from me, discuss pricing and explain the process to them the best way possible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I did an interior design course while working with some of the top designers in Boston for over 12 years, from hospitality to residential, traveled to New York and Canada as an assistant and was the only one in charge of doing the space planning, placing orders and follow through, work orders etc. After having my son I decided to venture out on my own.
