Introduction: I do welding, metal works, fence works, sculptures and installations for corporations and individuals. I also offer welding instruction and Sculpting instruction with students of all ages.
I was given the nickname "Scrapdaddy" early on in my career as my source materials are found in local scrap yards. As I am essentially the "father" of my creations and often perform with them, the nickname "Scrapdaddy" is fitting.
I have had as a diverse career in art. I delve into many mediums of sculpture, such as metal, concrete, and chainsaw art, allowing his creations to truly be one of a kind. My main source of inspiration is the joy he evokes from both children and adults, when witnessing his many different pieces.
I have traveled all over the world, and through these travels, I have been fortunate enough to find continuous sources of inspiration. My work is featured throughout North and South America, as well as Europe. I have participated in several television shows, that include "Battle Bots", "Junkyard Wars","Guinness Primetime Live" and even hosted two shows for the History Channel entitled "Scrapyard Scavengers." I have also performed twice with two different creations of his at the Essen Show in Germany. I have been featured in the "Smithsonian Magazine" and "002", and is regularly featured in newscasts and newspapers. My work has also recently been showcased in two solo exhibitions at the Art Car Museum, in Houston, TX, as well as the Beeville Museum of Art, in Beeville, TX.
I hope to continue to inspire and motivate young artists across the country with his work, and feel blessed to have had such an amazing career, doing what I love most.
As an artist, I am continuously challenged to expand on my work in order to reach the next level. The greatest satisfaction I have in my craft is in creating the works and learning from each, thus ensuring my development as a sculptor.
