What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Attorney Teresa Messer is the owner of Law Office of Teresa Messer. She focuses exclusively in the area of U.S. Immigration and Nationality law and has worked diligently to assist her clients with family-based and employment-based immigration, naturalization and citizenship, and asylum. She has successfully represented clients before the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, as well as before U.S. Consulates and Embassies, and the Immigration Court. She has been recognized by the State Bar of Texas for her outstanding service to the legal profession and for her community service work. She has also been recognized by the Darfurian Association of Greater Houston for her dedication to assisting immigrants.
Articles authored by Attorney Messer have appeared in such publications as Law360 and the Houston Law Review online journal. She has also served as a guest lecturer for a family immigration course at Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
As the daughter of Vietnamese immigrants, Ms. Messer appreciates the difficulties many immigrants to the United States have encountered and empathizes with their struggles. Her upbringing cultivated her desire to assist immigrants and practice immigration law.
