FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each project is different so we have created a flexible pricing structure to accommodate a variety of project types. Most commercial projects will be priced per square foot at a rate of $15 to $45 per sq ft. depending on the client's wishes for our involvement. Remodels and new construction will usually be priced per square foot as well ranging from $8 to $20 per sq. ft., again, depending on how much involvement we will have. These things are discovered in the initial consultation. We also are able to figure a flat rate for decorating services that do not involve construction based on an estimate of our time involved. When working by the hour we charge $150 per hour for design services, $1500 per day for shopping with our clients and using our special pricing at the design centers, and $75 per hour for drawings.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our typical new client process begins with a consultation at the site of the project. We ask many questions about the project and the client to get the best understanding of what they hope to accomplish and how we will be involved. From there we agree on how the project will be billed, either by the square footage, by the hour or at a flat rate, depending on many factors and the type of project. We compose an agreement of all information discussed and present it to the client to sign and provide payment, then we begin fulfilling the agreements discussed. We present options within a few weeks or sooner depending on the conversation. The client chooses one and we move forward. We like to emphasize to our clients that the whole process is a collaborative effort to combine our expertise with their vision to bring the project to it's fullest expression. We design for our clients.
