FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to take the time to understand people's needs. A lot of individuals who haven't been in a studio before ask for an engineer but often need a producer. I ofter both services, as well as walking people through how to perform in a studio, and how it compares to playing live.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I specialize in country, singer/songwriter and folk music, but I do everything. Especially rap, hip-hop, and RnB.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
No matter what studio you go with, the most important thing to do is practice, practice, practice. One wouldn't believe how many people come into the studio without being ready to perform their songs. Every little mistake is being recorded. You have to be able to play it perfectly, or at least every part perfectly at least once. No matter how much "fixing" is done to a recording, there is no substitute for good playing.
