Introduction: I have extensive experience translating and teaching both English and German. After receiving a Master of Arts degree in English literature and linguistics and German literature and linguistics from the University of Trier, Germany, I moved to Houston, Texas, and worked for the American Bureau of Professional Translators. Over the years, I taught English and German at the Bilingual Education Institute, as well as at Northbrook High School in Spring Branch ISD. At the University of Houston Clear Lake, I taught German for the Department of Continuing Education.
In 2011, I received a second master’s degree, a Master of Science in school library and information science.
I take great pride in always finding the best possible translations by incorporating social and cultural context . Language is so much more than a communication tool. Language reflects the history and culture of those who speak it, and the times in which they live. In our fast-paced ever-changing world, language is constantly adapting and growing, and my translations reflect the dynamic nature of communication.
