- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We initially get the high-level details from couples about their event (i.e. their wedding date, location, budget, etc.). We use that information to draft a proposal, or a quote. When Elegant Media is selected, we will meet with our couples to learn more about them, their personalities, and understand their vision.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are two styles of wedding videography: documentary and cinematic. You need to know the difference and make sure your vision aligns with your videographer’s style and skill. Ask for the videographer’s demo reel to get sense of the kind of work they do.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Consider what take-aways you want to have after your wedding day. Do you want a short trailer to share with family – or a hard drive with all the raw footage? Are you looking for a documentary- or cinematic-style video? If there is something you’re hoping for or if you have an idea of what you want in your wedding video, be sure to communicate that with your videographer in advance.
