I hired Movers of Houston a few months ago and they damaged my practically brand new 65" curve TV. The movers and their manager whom I talked to over the phone assured me that their insurance will cover the full replacement value and that I shouldn't worry and just file the claim. So I did, once the claim response came in I saw that they only want to pay me $30 for the $1100 TV. I called and try to reason with them and give them plenty of opportunities to make this right but they won't take any steps towards doing the right thing and keeping their promise. I'm getting ready to take legal action. In addition the movers were slow and they admitted that they are pacing themselves since they don't want to burn themselves out. So what you think you save on rates you actually loose in efficiency. PLEASE SAVE YOUR SELF THE HEADACHE AND USE A REPUTABLE COMPANY THAT ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.Oct 29, 2018Verified
Movers did not wrap any of my furniture with blankets. Movers decided to tape my drawers on my dressing closed with packing tape which resulted in stripping of the paint when removed. Movers also asked for payment before move was complete when we arrived at the destination and before furniture was unpacked and overcharged by a half an hour. When I wrote to the company to explain my issues I received no response.Oct 15, 2018Verified
I never write reviews but my experience with these movers was completely unsatisfactory. First off the three guys were extremely unprofessional and showed up late not ready to work. The scratched my $2000 table and dented my $3000 Fridge. Then to submit a claim of course you have to jump through hoops and get estimates of getting your stuff repaired which no one has time for. They lied and said my fridge was too big to get through my front door which was a lie. I had to go and rent a dolly 2 days later and move it in myself. They didn’t have any tools and lost all the screws to my furniture. I had so many issues with this company it was unreal.Jul 4, 2018Verified
Because of them, I have told everyone that can listen to me, not to use thumb tracker. The reason that they have a high rating is due to Movers of San Antonio, which they explained to me are only a branch of them not really affiliated. They moved me on Saturday and since then it has been a nightmare. They damaged my friends vehicle, they charged me for time when they were not working including when they sat down to eat (which I fed them), and driving time when it was already included in the advance payment I gave them and during the driving time they had me pulled into a grocery store because they supposedly where having truck issues; I caught one of them going into my refrigerator a couple of times, they didn't pack everything in the truck, when there was plenty of space, which in turn caused me to have to do 2 additional trips. It took them 5 hours to load a 1 bedroom apartment and it was brought to my attention that they were smoking weed on the job when my friend when to tell them that they had damaged her car. When I spoke to the supervisor Gerard on Saturday he began to argue with me and then started wheeling and dealing with me about the time they were going to charge me, and one of the drivers called me the next day to see if he could go and pick up some of the items that I left at the old apartment if he could have them. When I called and finally spoke with Gia the supervisor and told her everything, she was rude and told me she was going to open up an investigation, and has since blocked my number even though she is supposed to be investigating the situation. They are a dangerous unprofessional moving company especially for women. The photos that I have included does not include my sofa that they damaged, along with broken dishes since they stacked books on top of items that said fragile.Oct 5, 2018Verified
I wish I could writ a better review on this company but I just cannot. While the worked very hard all day they ended up damaging some of my belongings beyond repair. How do you break a concrete plaque or a LED Tv? Then cover the tv up with towels I guess so we wouldn’t see it. Then stains all over my sofa! When I reached out to them regarding the damages they told me I would need to submit a claim form. Little did I know was that the insurance will only paid $.60 per pound item damaged. Not enough to even get the sofa queen! And it will take 6 to 8 weeks for the claim to be processed. Terrible! Should the company be willing to work better with me regarding our damages I will gladly revise this reviewJun 10, 2018Verified
