Houston Local Handyman
About this pro
The handyman recommended patching the doorframe because we needed to resolve the root problem, which he said was the lack of gutters in that area and replacing the door would not the end solution. All good but it took too long to patch 2 1/2 inch hole on the frame.Aug 18, 2018Verified
I was scammed. I booked with Javier, who then booked my job through another source. I was quoted $49/hour by Javier, when the handyman showed he had never heard of Javier, and walked me through how the work was booked as I asked for the price quoted to me of $49 per hour, and I was instead charged $70 per hour. Disappointed that I was fooled, but the man who competed my work—no relationship—did great work. And completed it in half the quoted.Aug 10, 2018Verified
He was very helpful. My husband did not purchase the right part for our repair. He took the time to explain why it wasn't the correct part, and assisted us so thay we were still able to have the work done quickly.Aug 2, 2018Verified
Victor who came to work on my patio tile did a good job in the end. Not great but good. I could tell he was not exactly skilled at tile work but he was a handyman. He did put his best effort and really tried hard to do his best. However I’m giving one star because this thumbtack contractor who turns out to be Porch subcontracted the job to a local handyman (Victor in my case). The price I was quoted by Porch was not the price Victor wanted to charge me (but 3 times more). I would just never deal with this company again and look to hire a local handyman directly.Jul 30, 2018Verified
After confirming for 4 days out and emailing me 24 hours out they were a no show. I had to call their “other” company porch to find out why they were late. They informed that the project manager couldn’t find anyone and they cancelled the appt. They said they LVM but I didn’t get one and of course after 15 emails not one to let me know they cancelled our appt.Jun 27, 2018Verified
