FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Unlike many firms we do not charge by the hour or by the form. We provide upfront pricing which means you will know and agree to our fee prior to us beginning any work or you making any commitment. Once we have all or at least all material information required to prepare the return or project we determine our fee based on your unique tax and accounting needs. This comes down to the time it will take us to prepare, review and finalize the return or project based on the complexity of the services needed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process starts when a potential client contacts us by phone or email. Please note: If you contact us by phone and we don’t answer (we may be busy helping other client), please leave your voicemail and we will return your call the same or next business day the latest. We talk to you and gather preliminary information and then send a link to our secure online portal where the client can upload documents such as W-2, 1099, etc. Once we receive this information, we provide the client with the fee we would charge for all work. If the client agrees to the fee, we send the engagement letter to be signed by the client allowing us to work on his tax return for this fee. We ask for 50% of the fee prior to beginning any work and the balance when we provided you with a draft of the return. Once the return is prepared, we email the draft to the client for review. Once the client approves it, we e-file it with the IRS.
