About my practice: For 12+ years now, I have focused my career on helping people find freedom from pain. I offer Deep tissue massage, Sports massage, injury rehabilitation massage, and Swedish massage. Trigger point therapy and stretching are integrated into all the work that I do. Who my work is great for: The work that I do is excellent for anyone dealing with headaches, neck pain, shoulder pain, low back pain, or pain in any soft tissue structure of the body. I provide a thorough intake and assessment for each client prior to every appointment to make sure that the massage you get is the therapy you need. Benjamin is incredibly knowledgeable, patient and inspires you to work hard and do your best while making it fun and adjusting it all to your personal needs and fitness level. I have struggled with my weight and with limited mobility due to severe osteoarthritis. Benjamin has taught me many different techniques to help feed and heal my joints and improve my range of motion and strengthen my muscles so they can better hold my body without as much pain. My quality of life has improved tremendously since I've started working with Benjamin. I used to have to go to the chiropractor at least once a week to help unlock my crickety body, but now my body is starting to self-adjust. He's taught me how to move and position myself and stretch to allow my joints to reposition themselves. I now only go the chiropractor when I have an injury that needs attention vs. weekly maintenance visits prior to his care. His massage work is targeted as well as relaxing. He massages my muscles before we workout so he can see where I am restricted and is able to release those areas so they are more productive in the workout. Workouts can vary based on how my body is feeling at the time, physical restrictions I may have and our mutual interest at the time. Some days I'm crawling on my hands and feet around a field like a spider, while other days I bounce on a trampoline to increase flexibility or toss a medicine ball back and forth to build strength and balance. He keeps it fresh and also teaches me things I can do at home on my own as a substitution for working with him personally. Then we end our sessions with mediation, qi gong poses, and envisioning techniques that help build and nurture the spirit. I truly can't say enough good things about him. I see him as someone who is dedicated to helping me save my life by teaching me to love my body by feeding it strength and gentleness. I can honestly say that working with Benjamin is one of the best and most loving things I have ever done for myself. Kara Shouse St. Paul, MN

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will begin by gathering your health history information through an intake form that will be sent out to you via email. There you can also inform me of the needs and goals you have for the Massage Therapy session. Whether you are looking to heal from an injury, address a chronic pain issue, or simply have a deeply rejuvenating relaxation massage, I will tailor the session to meet your needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Licensed Massage therapist, And Board Certified by the national certification board for therapeutic massage and bodywork, NCBTMB. I Studied at northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN, and graduated with all right's to practice therapeutic massage and bodywork in 2006, and have been practicing ever since.
