- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Tax engagements are typically flat fee arrangements that include tax return prep and routine consulting. Accounting engagements are more case by case.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Personal and business advisory requires technical expertise but the best advisers build relationships and take the time to understand the lives and industries of their clients. This is why the first step in any process with a potential business or personal adviser should be a happy hour. This can be virtual of course but the idea is to get to know one another at a level beyond the immediate business deal. Share goals. Create a common goal.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a CPA with a Master’s Degree in Taxation from American University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland.
