- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to schedule a pre-visit with owner and pet in their home for several reasons. It gives me a baseline for the pets behavior in his environment and interactions with people. It allows me to start building a trusting relationship with the pet that reduces anxiety. I like to go through the dogs daily routine in detail with the owner i.e. diet, medical history, medications, current Veterinary office, signals or cues, exercise tolerance, potty schedule. Also I want the owner to get to know me and be able to give them the confidence of knowing their pet is well cared for in their absence and they will return to a happy and relaxed pet.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
A lifetime of experience owning,caring for and loving horses, dogs and cats. The study of animal psychology wild and domestic. I'm also a empath which allows me to form a trusting bond with the animal I'm working with rather quickly. Animals I can read, people not so much!
