Villa Paradiso Home Improvement and Repairs
About this pro
Joe recently helped renovate our new home and completed everything so wonderfully. He helped with a variety of projects - electrical work, lighting, custom woodwork, plumbing and more - and paid so much attention to detail. Everything looks exactly how my husband and I had envisioned. He also took the time to learn the ins and outs of our particular home so as to help us make the best decisions of how to prevent future issues. We were working with a tight budget for the amount of projects we wished to complete, but Joe was able to work with us and provide recommendations regardless. He was such a joy to work with and we would highly recommend him for any project, large or small.Aug 18, 2017
This man is a Godsend! We just completed a large remodel and there were so many things that still had to be done. Joe was able to repair replace and improve so many things in our home but everything from electrical to carpentry. He does excellent work and leaves are home spotless . Five stars is not enough for this level of excellence.Mar 9, 2016Verified
My wife and I recently moved into a 1920s Seal Beach bungalow that had a postage stamp-sized kitchen and no dishwasher. Joe was instrumental in helping us design, plan, and utilize an old pantry space into an integrated cabinet/shelving unit that blended in perfectly with the existing kitchen and creatively installing a much-needed dishwasher. Being that it is an old house, Joe ran into some unexpected obstacles which he creatively and tenaciously overcame (those kind of things would have created so many headaches for me if I had DIY'ed it. I would have cracked!). He is friendly and conversational, but he also gets right to work w/out dawdling. His level of expertise is impressive--from electrical to plumbing, general carpentry to cabinetry. He quoted me a great price, and did not charge me any more for the extra time he had to put in (although I chose to pay him a little more). In summary, Joe is honest, hard-working, outcome-oriented, and an expert in his field. He'll make you feel good about your decision to remodel, and you'll probably want to put him right to work on your next project. --Jim BFeb 3, 2016Verified

I had a very difficult cabinet in mind. I knew it would have to be designed and custom-made and never in my wildest dreams did I think anybody would be able to accomplish it at this level. The job is beautifully done, was delivered on time, and Joe was such a pleasure to work with! Hard to find work ethics at this level .Jun 30, 2016

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Usually I charge $50/hour for most tasks. Invoices are based on how long the job should take, depending on the size of the task and complexity in the scope of work. Either way, my customers get quality work done for a reasonable price.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Usually I meet with the customer at their home, review the scope of work, explain what options are available and how I would complete the task. After we agree on what will be done and how it will be accomplished, provide a detailed quote in writing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have an AS in technical training from a community college, BS in Business and management, CA real estate license, PMP in Project Management.
