I can not say enough great things about Jessica. If you are planning to get a wedding coordinator get Jessica, my only regret was not having her plan the whole thing and not getting her sooner. My fiancé (now husband) initially refused to even consider getting a coordinator. He reluctantly went with me to interview Jessica and even gave me a pep talk about how we were "just going to talk to her" and not commit to anything. Truthfully I think he was humoring me but had not intention of getting someone because he saw it as paying for someone who wouldn't know us and do things we could do ourselves. (Which trust me you can't ... well you can but you will drive yourself nuts.) So of course we met her and loved her and it was him (not me) who decided to hire her on the spot. We had lots of changes (up until the last minute) and we did a lot of untraditional things so we know we drove her nuts but she always made it happen for us. She recommended our cinematographer who was awesome. She is bright and bubbly but is all business when it comes getting things don't right. We love Jessica and we consider her a friend were so happy we got her and appreciate all the hard work she put into making our day memorable. She took great care of us. It's only sad that Im only planning to have this one wedding or I would definite hire her again and again. I loved working with Jessica! She was my Day-Of Coordinator for my wedding, and she did an amazing job! During the preparation process, she thought of so many details that never would have occurred to my husband and me. We hired Jessica as our day-of coordinator for our summer wedding in downtown Long Beach. She was priced so fairly, especially considering what others in the area were going to charge, but she is worth a lot more! My husband (!) and I are both graduate students whose busy schedules made it challenging to plan the wedding down to the details. We loved Jessica's positivity, support, and suggestions in the moments where we had no idea what we were doing (which was most of the time). She helped us create a vision for our wedding day and coordinated all the vendors. While most of the vendors were great and worked together as a team, our venue was generally unresponsive and Jessica dealt with them sternly, but professionally, to help us nail down the final details. She was available to meet in person and over the phone, doing her best to answer all of our questions and quell every anxiety! We bought several decorations and she told us to bring them in boxes and let her figure out what looked best instead of trying to plan where every little thing would go--I will NEVER forget walking into the venue and seeing it transformed into the PERFECT space. The lights, the tables, the centerpieces--I couldn't believe it had come together so well. The decor and the vibe exceeded every expectation. On the day, she rolled with the punches (like when our favors arrived melted). Her demeanor was calm and it helped me to relax during what could have been stressful transitions--from ceremony to photos to dinner (she made sure we ate) to dancing. I distinctly remember looking over during dinner to see her quietly fixing the two flower girls' "itchy" dresses with tulle. It was such a sweet moment, and just one example of how she went above and beyond to make the whole day great. We will be forever grateful that we found Jessica! She deserves all the praise for making our day perfect. It was so wonderful to be able to put so many details in her hands and trust that they'd turn out well. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Day of Coordinating packages start at $800. We adjust our prices based on the location and the number of staff we think is needed based on the initial request. We offer tons of add-on options to customize any package via our A la Carte Menu. This allows couples to add design help, budgeting, even extra venue visits if they need it without committing to what they don't need from the beginning. These options can be added on at anytime and there is no limit! Additionally, we offer rentals including custom signage, keep-sake pillows, and some linens.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?At the end of the day, you need someone you connect with, someone you trust with the most important day of your life, and someone who you know is going to put your best interest above their own. Therefore, before we even begin the planning or coordinating process, we will meet and chat to discuss how that will go. Then, if the couple feels we can fulfill their wedding needs, we move forward with the fun! To secure your date, couples will sign a contract that details the services provided and pay a small retainer. After that date, couples have unlimited access to us via email, phone, and text, as well as our recommended vendors list, etc. About a month prior to the wedding date, we will meet at the venue for a full walk-through of your wedding decor and overall plan. We will begin contacting your vendors to create a customized timeline for your wedding day, which starts with collecting your contracts so we can ensure nothing has been over-looked. 10 days prior, we will collect final payment, make a final plan for your rehearsal.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?We have been planning and coordinating weddings since 2012, and in that time, we have developed some key tricks to keeping a wedding running smoothly, as well as a checklist to ensure nothing gets forgotten along the way. We want you to enjoy every second of the day, so we'll keep track of everything for you! For example, on their wedding day, so many couple forget to just sit down to eat!
