Introduction: Hi, I’m Moses Gilbert. I’ve been a professional full-time tutor for over four years. In that time, I’ve coached over 20 high school and college students to academic success in their Math and Science courses. Teaching is my passion, and I’m happy to help your student reach their potential in their most difficult courses.
I began tutoring in college while completing my Bachelor’s degree in Biology at The City University of New York. After working as a Research Technician at Weill-Cornell Medical Center, I decided to return to private tutoring. Over the past few years, I’ve found a great deal of joy in breaking down complex topics for students and watching their grades rise alongside their enjoyment of Math and Science.
I tutor any subject that relies on logic, reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Typically, these subjects include:
Algebra I & II
Pre-calculus & Calculus
Geometry
Chemistry
Trigonometry
Biology
SAT & ACT prep

When I’m not tutoring, I enjoy kayaking, camping, playing music, and baking sourdough bread. Let me know if you’d like me to bring you some on our first tutoring session!
