Chris Yutzey, owner and coach of CY Fit, will help you follow through with healthy action steps each day so that you can actually stick with a fitness routine. Consistent healthy habits every day, no matter how small, will add up and begin to create changes in the body. The areas of focus that will be coached to help you gain energy, lose weight, or increase strength include sleep, food, physical movement, supplements, medications, and your mindset. It’s not about changing everything all at once, it’s about learning what interests you, what changes you can make, deciding where to start, and building from there. Improving these areas of life and making these tasks flow with an already busy day is how you create success. Working with Chris as a health coach and an exercise instructor will help you look at your time in a new way. Strategies will be created that actually allow you to make the changes you truly want. It’s likely that many want to make positive changes in their life but a lot of obstacles or priorities can get in the way of anything actually happening. Often, people get started on an exercise or nutrition journey and maybe find themselves doing too much at once. To see real results, it actually comes down to small improvements, done repeatedly, and refined over time. Those little steps should be adjusted if they are not working, helping to create a truly enjoyable routine that makes you want to continue. Usually, people know what to do to make changes, such as increasing their sleep, meditating, more exercise, or a better diet. When a busy work schedule, family, travel, world events, and media use up our time or gets us off track, it’s hard to stay accountable to a program that doesn’t adapt to a changing lifestyle. Many people have physical/mental aches, pains, illness, or other issues that are a struggle to live with. This makes the areas of sleep, exercise, or an improved diet, a bigger challenge compared to others. Often, it's hard to know where to start, along with the inspiration and motivation it takes to keep consistently going. Plus, every time you get going, that physical pain or mentality to quit, slowly starts to show up. Everyone has done it but it becomes a lot easier to fall out of a good routine when there are too many pains, no results are being seen, and nothing about the process is fun. Some people are fitness enthusiasts and others are not so enthusiastic about fitness. One thing we all have in common is that everybody has their own level of “feeling healthy.” We all have to take care of our physical body and mind. When people run out of “health” and are feeling “ill” most of the time, people will do whatever it takes to feel better again. Often, medications, surgeries, and other medical procedures are a last resort to try to fix a problem after it has already occurred. Sadly, issues with your physical and mental health become too big to fix and the cost can be deadly. The true way to overcome many illnesses, constantly feeling tired, feeling physically weak, is to make a proactive effort to change your habits and tendencies. It’s easier to combat the health challenges in life by making changes before things get too bad. This is about a better way of life. Small action steps, completed each day, that actually create energy, improve strength, relieve stress, or provide a sense of overall well-being, can be so valuable, you won't want to go back to an old way of living. Obviously, life will still throw you curveballs, or give you lemons and there are situations that are inevitable. Science has always shown that you can make a change, at any moment in life, to begin to feel better and improve your quality of life. Everything in the universe is constantly changing, growing, expanding, and adapting, so why do people think they are different and get stuck in the same place for so long? Why do people say they don’t have time for “health and wellness,” but then one day, they WILL HAVE TO MAKE TIME for illness? Why don’t people invest their money into preventative health and wellness strategies, when it is so much cheaper than trying to fix an illness? If you don’t feel good in your body, if you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, and if you want to truly get started on a path to a better life…it is so much easier to start than you think! Get started with Chris through a Thumbtack message, email, or phone call/text. Each new inquiry receives two free consultations. Health history information will be gathered and times to meet or talk will be planned. Then, with a few assessments, you will know your starting point on the path to your goals. That starting point will be simple, practical, and will create changes right away. I love to inspire people. I'm motivated to help anyone live a healthier life. I enjoy meeting new people, connecting, and benefiting from getting to know one another. I'm living a healthy life, physically, mentally and spiritually. I want to pass these characteristics on and make exercise, nutrition, and daily habits a valuable part of your day. I'm very understanding, practical, logical, and friendly. Teaching and coaching comes easily and naturally to me. Doing assessments, getting to know you, and building a positive relationship allows me to safely and efficiently get you started and keep you going on a path to a healthier life!

Being old and completely out of shape, I have always shied away from gyms and trainers. Then one day, I came across Chris when searching for a “trainer for old people.” :-) Chris has been amazing! We started off with doing training sessions at my house, then migrated to on-line classes since I started traveling again for work. He keeps the sessions moving, fun, and educational. Before I know it, the hour is up and I am feeling energetic for the rest of my day. I really enjoy our sessions together and definitely recommend him for anyone. He tailors each session to how you are feeling and what your personal goals are. Give him a try! You aren't locked in, but I assure you, you will keep going back!

There's a reason you continually go to the same salon/barber shop, dentist, tattooist or whatever service. It's because that individual person provides you with more than just that service or product. That personal touch if you will.. That's exactly what Chris at CY Fit does as a knowledgeable trainer and confident guide because that's who he is at heart. Results not just seen externally, but felt inside as well.

When I first met Chris, I had moderate to severe back pain and trouble sleeping. He worked patiently with me ease me into exercising. After just a few months working with Chris once a week, my back pain is much milder. I'm sleeping better and just feel better overall. He's quick to respond, eager to help and you can tell he really loves what he does. If you're looking for someone to help you meet your fitness goals at your own pace, I highly recommend Chris.

Chris has honestly changed my life. I don't even know where to begin with how positive my experience has been, but I'll try. First of all, I am in the best shape I've ever been, and that is because of how Chris comes each day with well prepared routines for me to work through. Secondly, during these routines, he coaches me through them and doesn't let me quit on myself (as long as its safe to keep pushing, of course). He understands my goals and also my personality, and he uses both my physical and mental strengths and weaknesses to create a well rounded program for me and keep me motivated through it. I feel like his ability to understand my mentality and personality are what sets him apart from other trainers, because he's not just making me go through all the usual sets and reps, or just spewing generalized information--with his wealth of knowledge he actually makes my workouts personalized to me and where I am mentally and physically in this journey, and he keeps finding ways to keep me going through each workout and also through my life. I also want to say that Chris is also a very safe and cognizant trainer. You think all trainers would be like this, but that hasn't always been my experience. I have a weird shoulder pain thing that comes and goes, and Chris has been able to address that safely while also still pushing me as far as I've been wanting to go. He also started off our very first session with a very comprehensive fitness test/survey (I know there is an actual term for this but I can't think of it right now) so he knew exactly what he was working with and what we were starting from. I've actually had a trainer that didn't even do this........ yeah. I have a new found confidence in myself, and I really owe that to Chris. I was trying for a long time to get it on my own and it didn't happen. Last but not least, not only is Chris an excellent trainer, but he is also a stand up guy and a good person. With my training schedule, I honestly see him more often and regularly than I see my friends, and if that's how it's going to be, you're going to want your trainer to be someone you genuinely like and like to be around. So that's Chris for you! I could probably keep talking but will stop now, and hopefully you will find out for yourself everything I am talking about and more.
