Introduction: I have been photographing the city of Los Angeles for over 17 years. I have done this since the age of 11 and it has been my way of telling people how much I love the world around me. Photography for me has to tell a story. Either about the people I photograph or the objects I photograph. I want to share my vision with others. And this brings me to the reason my business sticks out: I care about telling your story. I take notice of things others don't see. I'm there in moments others are not watching. And with my skill and equipment as well as unique style of editing, I make memories for my clients. The majority of my clients keep in touch with me, shere my contacts with others in need, and often return to work with me again. With erikstoufferphotography you will have great photos to look back on no matter what the circumstance. As I said above, I love to tell a story. To show people something intimate that I captured before the moment was gone. I love the chance to direct the memories someone will have of an event, even if they didn't notice the importance of that moment in time on their special day. I love to make history out of moments that mean something special to the viewer, and share being there with them to do that.

Erik Stouffer's Photography has been a real treat for our family. Erik has been extremely patient when taking pictures of our 6 children, us their parents and our dog Roxy. No easy task for any photographer but Erik has always been up to the challenge with his laid back personality and his patience he has won us over and always done a great job taking our pictures. We appreciate his professionalism and we love his photography style. His quality of work speaks for itself, his pictures seem to have emotion, they speak to you, and that, I believe is true art. Erik Stouffer's Photography is be able to capture, in a picture, the emotion that was taken at the moment in a very raw and organic way. I would definitely recommend him services.

My husband hired Erik to do shoot our engagement party in March 2016. He was incredible! He has the greatest attitude and so much fun to work with. All of my guests loved him while he captured such an important night for us. He had all of our photographs ready very soon after the party. The pictures were amazing. The following March (2017) we hired him for my bridal shower and again, he went above and beyond. He is on time, super friendly, and he took pictures of all my guests, all my important moments, and all of the little details! He is our go-to photographer for any significant event in our family. He recently did my cousins wedding, and he again gave us that same top notch service. How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started when my dad let me borrow his old Canon camera at the age of eleven. I was hooked on it that weekend when I took a photo of a vintage Shwinn road bike half buried and topped with snow. My dad bought me a digital camera for Christmas and for the past seventeen years it's been with me through my adolescence and into adulthood
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with many different people. People who all had a need that I was able to meet. I've worked with African Americans, people with developmental disabilities, older women, young actors, Persians and Hispanic people. People who were getting married, proposing, throwing a birthday party, a quinceañera, a bridal shower, Christmas photos, headshots, a folk festival, a film, an open streets bike event, a lunar festival, a retirement party. I've worked with many people on many events but thankfully all of them have been very friendly. I'd love to work with you, and add your name and event to my list. What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Judge your next hire based on three things: their reviews, their work and the way they talk about their services and how they will take care of you as their client. If they can assure you that people who have worked with them are happy, their work is good and they make you important, you know you've found the right photographer.
