FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not. I charge by the job and have often traveled several states (and countries) away from my Indianapolis area. Typical rates are $1,000 / day for commercial shoots and less for personal/private. Pricing in photography is exactly the same as building a customer home: do you want a small ranch or a 10,000 square foot mansion? Do you want a small kitchen or a marble countertop masterpiece. There is no way to accurately quote a project unless you know exactly what the customer wants----which is why I offer a per day rate of $1,000 to weed out the cheapskates and those not wanting very high quality
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Everything begins with a very clear understanding of what you want to do and what happens with the finished product. How will you use it? Who will be viewing and what type of call to action is our goal? Relationships are very important to me and I always meet prior to shooting. I am not the low bidder and my quality of work reflects this.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Years and years of shooting a variety of different subjects and styles including underwater photography (technically very challenging), Aerial/Helicopter, portraiture, studio, product, nature, landscape, night time, etc. I enjoy figuring things out and delivering way more than expected.
