FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Keep in mind that these days photography involves the time taken to prepare, the photoshoot itself and as much time again in post-production. My prices are extremely low once you factor all the hours involved.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial inquiries are usually via email but I can discuss needs on the phone. The new customer describes their needs. I typically direct folks to my website but also describe what they get for their expense. After the shoot I provide customers with a weblink containing all photos so that they can choose which images they would like me to do post-production on. I deliver these photoshopped images by email but they are also included along with all the other photos on a DVD or via Dropbox. Making prints is possible but this is a whole different service with additional pricing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelors in Film Studies and an MFA in Studio Art (photography). Before that numerous classes and workshop in photographic techniques and post production. In addition I have taught photography at the college level (history of, beginners, photoshop, action portraits).
